Indications

Zonisamide is indicated to control partial seizures in adults with epilepsy.
Zonisamide is indicated with other medications to prevent and control seizures (epilepsy).

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- an unusual or allergic reaction to Zonisamide, sulfa drugs, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives;
- breast-feeding;
- dehydrated;
- diarrhea;
- ketogenic diet;
- kidney disease;
- liver disease;
- lung disease;
- pregnant or trying to get pregnant;
- suicidal thoughts, plans, or attempt; a previous suicide attempt by you or a family member;

Contraindications

Zonisamide is contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions:
- if you are allergic to Zonisamide;
- if you have a special diet (ketogenic diet);
